
Blackout threats by broadcasters are unfair to television viewers. It's a growing problem and Congress needs to find a solution. Television has changed. Rules written in 1992 no longer protect consumers in today's competitive TV marketplace.
By holding our favorite shows hostage, broadcasters are taking advantage of outdated regulations to demand excessive programming fees. It's time to level the playing field. Congress must act now - so that television viewers are no longer at risk for broadcaster blackouts.
